What We Hold Dear

A living relationship with Jesus is what we hold most dear and encourage at LCF. Because of what Christ did on the cross, a way has opened up for each one of us to come to God the Father and have a personal relationship with Him. Have you discovered this? If not, then check out this site.

We believe one is not born a Christian, but at some stage in life has to come to a personal saving faith in Christ. This has been the experience of countless millions since Jesus died on the cross. Read some extracts from the testimonies of St Patrick, St Augustine and others.

Here are some of the basic beliefs we hold as a Church:

STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Sovereignty and grace of the triune God, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit in creation, revelation, redemption and judgement.

The divine inspiration and infallibility of the Old and New Testaments as originally given and their consequent trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

The universal sinfulness and guilt of fallen man.The substitutionary sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God as the sole and all-sufficient ground of redemption from the guilt and power of sin.

The justification of the sinner solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ who was crucified and bodily raised from the dead.

The illuminating, regenerating, indwelling and sanctifying work of God the Holy Spirit.

The Church universal, the body of which Christ is the Head, and which is committed by His command to the proclamation of the Gospel throughout the world.

The promise of eternal life for all who have trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ and the expectation of His return in power and glory.
