Community Life

Weekly Activities

We meet on Sundays from 11 to 1 for worship and the breaking of bread. Our new building is on the road between Listowel and Ballybunion. The Sunday meeting is the focal point of our weekly activities. After the meeting we also have a social time when we enjoy one another’s company and swap stories and experiences from the previous week. Worship

This is a time of singing and thanksgiving to God for all His goodness and mercy.

Breaking of Bread

This is a simple ceremony, usually held twice a month, in which we break a loaf and pass the cup in obedience to the Lord’s command to remember His death till He comes.

Sharing the Word

In addition to the formal teaching from the scriptures every Sunday, all who attend are encouraged to participate by reading a scripture, sharing a word of encouragement or suggesting a song,

CHILDREN

We believe that children are our most precious possession and so need to be catered for. We take special time with the children and after the first half of the meeting we divide them according to age and give them opportunities to learn through workbooks, crafts and activities in a fun and child friendly atmosphere.

PRAYER MEETING

God is still answering prayer. Every Thursday at 8 we meet for prayer. Anybody is free to join us. We usually pray for specific needs of those who attend. However, we are often requested to pray for the needs of others who are not part of the fellowship. If you have any specific prayer requests perhaps you would like to contact us. 0879529907.

We celebrate our Saviour’s birth with a number of special events including a Christmas dinner and a Christmas Eve Carol Service.

TEAM HOPE

Our Church has been very involved in this work and for a number of years a small army of volunteers pack and send out thousands of shoe boxes laden with presents for children around the world. For more information on this work check: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/
